Hospice. The Union Tourism and Culture Minister G Kishan Reddy has given a guru mantra to the tourism ministers of the states to have healthy competition among themselves. He was addressing the National Conference of Tourism Ministers of the states organized in Dharamsala, Himachal Pradesh on Monday. He said that tourism of the states cannot be increased only on the strength of the central government. For this, all the states will have to form a team for tourism together and which will work together for all the states.
G Kishan Reddy said that it is a challenge to bring back the tourism industry after Corona. All the states will have to make efforts together, they will have to see which departments of the states can be helpful in bringing tourism back on track. They should be included in this effort. He suggested that all the states should do healthy competition among themselves. Only then can tourism be increased. Tourism cannot be increased with the help of the Union Ministry of Tourism alone.
He also suggested that the states should also take cooperation from PM Gatishakti Yojana. They should see from which ministry help can be taken to increase tourism. For example, if there is no connectivity in a tourist destination, then it should be developed with the help of the Ministry of Road Transport, Rail and Civil Aviation.
