New Delhi. The first match of the three-match T20 series between India and Australia is being played at the IS Brinda Stadium in Mohali. In this match, Australia captain Aaron Finch won the toss and decided to bowl first. Batting first, Team India has set a target of 209 runs in front of the visiting team. From India’s side, opener KL Rahul made a brilliant fifty. Apart from him, Suryakumar Yadav also played an important innings of 46 runs. In the last moments, the explosive all-rounder Hardik Pandya scored a half-century to take India to a huge score.
Earlier, after losing the toss, opting to bat first, the start of Team India was not good. Captain Rohit Sharma was dismissed by Josh Hazlewood for just 11 runs. KL Rahul hits 18th fifty
KL Rahul, who has been facing criticism for some time, played an attractive innings in this match. He once again showed why Team India is showing constant trust in him. KL Rahul completed 2000 runs in just 62 T20 Internationals. Rahul is at number three in the list of the fastest players to complete 2000 runs. Rahul hit a half-century in 32 balls. This was his 18th half-century in T20 Internationals.
Suryakumar also played his style and hit four sixes, including two consecutive sixes at long on and deep midwicket on Adam Zampa. Then Hardik Pandya, playing responsibly, completed his half-century and scored runs openly against the Australian bowlers. For Australia, Nathan Ellis took three and Josh Hazlewood took two wickets. Cameron Green gets a wicket. Australia made Tim David’s debut in the match.
