Ingredients for making Coconut Chutney
Shredded fresh coconut – 1 cup
Chana dal – 1 tbsp
Ginger grated – 1 tsp
Curd – 1 tbsp
Cumin – 1/2 tsp
Rai – 1/4 tsp
Curry leaves – 7-8
Green chili chopped – 2
Dry red chili – 1
Lemon juice – 1 tsp
Oil – 1 tsp
Salt – as per taste

How to make Coconut Chutney
To make coconut chutney, first cut pieces of fresh coconut and grind them coarsely by putting them in a mixer. After that take it out in a bowl. After this, roast the chana dal and put it in a mixer jar. Add ginger and chopped green chilies along with it and grind all the ingredients finely. After this, put coarsely ground coconut in the ground mixture and once again put the lid of the mixer and grind them all finely. If needed, a little water can also be used while grinding. After this take out the mixture in a bowl.
Now start the process of tempering in the chutney. For this, put oil in a small pan and heat it on low flame. When the oil becomes hot, add mustard seeds to it. When mustard seeds start crackling, then add cumin seeds and dry red chilies in the oil. After frying for a few seconds, add curry leaves to it. After 10-15 seconds, remove the pan from the gas and immediately pour the tempering over the coconut chutney and mix. Your delicious coconut chutney is ready.
