Spooky season is fast approaching, which means Halloween decorations, pumpkin-flavored treats, and lots of scary movies.
Netflix is getting in on the action again this year. The streaming service is due to add more than 140 shows and movies in October, including a number of horror-themed offerings.
From the creators of “The Haunting of Hill House” and “The Haunting of Bailey Manor” comes “The Midnight Club,” a new horror series set in a hospice for sick teens (out October 7th). “Guillermo del Toro’s Cabinet of Curiosity” is an upcoming horror anthology show that will premiere on October 25.
On the lighter side of the supernatural, “The School for Good and Evil” will debut on October 19. An adaptation of the bestselling fantasy novel, the film boasts a star-studded cast that includes Kerry Washington, Laurence Fishburne, Charlize Theron, Michelle Yeoh and Cate Blanchett.
Moving to the opposite end of the fantasy-reality spectrum, a new season of “Love Is Blind” arrives on October 19, and “Bling Empire” returns on October 5 for Season 3. Hasan Minhaj’s new comedy special “The King’s Jester” is out on October 4.
And we apologize for not sharing the good news with American fans of “Derry Girls.” The long-awaited third season will finally be available for US viewers on Netflix on October 7th!
