New Delhi. WhatsApp is working on a feature called phone number sharing option. This feature will allow users to hide their phone number in sub-groups. Actually, WhatsApp is such a messaging application, where you can either chat with a person individually or talk in a group. You can also add people to it by creating a group.
In such a situation, if someone is adding you to a group with someone else, then people who you do not know may also be included in that group. In such a situation, you can see the number of other people in the group and those people are yours, but with the help of this feature you will be able to hide your number.
This feature can be started with future updates.

Feature will be disabled by default
According to WABetaInfo, the option of phone number sharing is disabled by default. This means that as soon as you join a community, your phone number will be immediately hidden. However you want to share your number with any community sub-group, you are free to do so. It is worth noting that this privacy option is limited to Qnity only and it is currently being worked on, hence, there is no information about the release date for it.
