Mukesh Choudhary represented Chennai Super Kings in IPL-2022

One such budding cricketer MS Dhoni have remembered the advice from Chennai Super Kings Young pacer Mukesh Choudhary. Choudhary shared his experience of playing for Chennai Super Kings in the last season of IPL (IPL-2022). He also praised captain Dhoni. Dhoni, who led CSK to the title four times under his captaincy, told him to believe in his abilities when things were not going well for him on the field.
Veteran wicketkeeper Dhoni even told Mukesh that every player goes through such a phase in his career. Mukesh said on Chennai Super Kings.com, ‘I never thought that I would play for Chennai Super Kings. When I was on the team bus (for the first time), Dhoni patted me on the shoulder. I was like, ‘Oh this is happening to me’ and I felt so proud.’
He further said, ‘In my first two matches, I could not perform to the best of my ability. So, I used to talk to him (Dhoni) every day and even in between matches. Dhoni told me to believe in my abilities. Rituraj is my friend… so he was always with me. Dhoni backed me and gave me confidence saying, ‘You have everything, you just have to believe in yourself because that happens to every player when they go through this phase’.
Mukesh Chaudhary’s performance in IPL-2022 was good and he took 16 wickets in 13 matches. The pacer further said, ‘I gained confidence after the Mumbai (Indians) match and continued to bowl with that.’ His best spell of the season came against arch-rivals Mumbai Indians, where he sent skipper Rohit Sharma and Ishan Kishan to the pavilion in the very first over. Then in-form Dewald Brevis was dismissed.
