According to the release issued by the BCCI, the team has to play a 3-match T20 series from Australia first. These matches will be played on September 20, 23 and 25. The first match of the series is to be held in Mohali. The next 2 matches will be played in Nagpur and Hyderabad respectively. Australia’s team is the current champion of T20 World Cup. In such a situation, the team led by Rohit Sharma would like to give him a tough competition.

After Australia, the Indian team will face South Africa. The T20 series against South Africa will be played on 28 September, 2 October and 4 October. These matches will be played in Thiruvananthapuram, Guwahati and Indore respectively. After this there is also a 3-match ODI series between the two countries.
After this, the Indian team has to play a 3-match ODI series from South Africa itself. These matches will be played on 6, 9 and 11 October. These matches are to be held in Lucknow, Ranchi and Delhi.
