The all-rounder has attributed his decision to the atmosphere of the team. He gave this information to the fans by tweeting. Dotin is currently playing for the Barbados team participating in the Commonwealth Games. She has told in her post that she will continue to play domestic as well as league cricket. However, whether it will be the Women’s Caribbean Premier League being organized for the first time by Cricket West Indies, it is not yet clear.
Dottin is going to captain Trinbago Knight Riders in the Women’s CPL starting 30 August. However, she is going to play for Manchester’s team in the second season of The Hundred (100-ball match) in the UK.
Dottin wrote in the share post on Twitter, ‘I have faced and overcome many obstacles during my cricket career. However, the current environment of the team is not such which can revive my passion for the game and in which I can use my full potential. With much sadness but without regret, I realized that I am no longer able to follow the team culture and environment, as it has reduced my ability to excel. I am thankful to everyone for the opportunity I got to play for West Indies. During my 14 years of playing, I tried to give my 100 per cent on the field.
Thanks to all for the love and support with in my past 14 years of playing cricket for West Indies! I look forward to be playing domestic cricket around the world pic.twitter.com/Vmw6AqpYQJ
