New Delhi. Google removed 1,11,493 bad content in June 2022, keeping in mind India’s new IT Rules 2021. Google took this step due to 32,717 complaints filed by users across the country. Content removed by Google was related to copyright infringement, trademark, court orders, graphic sexual content, fraud and certain other issues. According to a report by inc24, Google received the most complaints for copyright issues (96.1%) in June.
Within the same time frame, the internet company received 32,717 complaints from citizens of the country regarding external content on various Google platforms. About these the company believed that it was a violation of their personal or territorial legal rights. Several classifications of complaints can be made.

Google said in its statement to ANI, ‘Complaints include various categories. Some of the requests were about violations of intellectual property rights, while others were complaints about violations of local laws, such as defamation.
Spend huge money on technology: Google
Google said that as part of its automated detection process, it has removed 5,28,846 accounts in the country. Google said, “We invest heavily in fighting harmful content online and use technology to detect and remove it from our platform.

In a statement to ANI, Google stressed that some of their products will use automatic detection processes to prevent the spread of harmful information such as child sexual abuse material and violent extremist content.
