Soya Upma is also very easy to make and this recipe does not take much time to prepare. Soybean powder along with other spices are also used to make this dish. You can prepare delicious Soya Upma by following some simple steps.

Ingredients for Soya Upma
Soyabean Powder – 1 cup
Onion chopped – 1/2 cup
Cabbage chopped – 1/2 cup
Carrot grated – 1/2 cup
Urad dal – 1 tsp
Green chili – 1-2
Coriander leaves – 2 tbsp
Lemon – 1
Asafoetida – 1 pinch
Ginger grated – 1/4 tsp
Oil – 2 tbsp
Salt – as per taste
How to make Soya Upma
To make Soya Upma, first take hot water in a vessel and put soybean powder in it and keep it aside for 15 minutes. Meanwhile, chop the onion, cabbage, carrot. After the stipulated time, squeeze out the soya and throw away the water. Now put some oil in a pan and heat it on medium flame. After the oil becomes hot, add cumin and asafetida to it. When cumin seeds start spluttering, add urad dal and fry till golden brown.
After this, add finely chopped onion, green chili and grated ginger to the spices and fry while stirring. During cooking, when the onion becomes soft and golden, then add chopped cabbage and carrot to this mixture and fry for about 5 minutes. After this, put soya powder in the pan and mix it well with other ingredients with the help of a ladle.

Now after cooking this mixture while stirring it for some time, add salt and coriander leaves according to taste and let it cook for about 5 minutes more. When soya upma starts smelling sweet, then at last add lemon squeezed to it and switch off the gas. Tasty and nutritious soya upma is ready. Garnish and serve by placing green coriander leaves and lemon pieces on it.
