New Delhi. Car companies in India have released their sales reports for the month of July 2022. The sales figures confirm that SUVs are gaining more popularity among car buyers, as the demand for hatchbacks and sedans is dwindling. So let’s know about the best selling SUV cars in India last month.
Tata Nexon
The Nexon continues to be at the top of the sub-4-metre SUV segment. Tata Motors sold 14,214 units of the Nexon SUV in July 2022 as against 10,287 units in the same month last year. In the month of June 2021, Tata Motors delivered 14,295 Nexon models in June 2021.
Hyundai Creta
Korean automaker, Hyundai has delivered 12,625 Creta SUVs in July 2022, compared to 13,000 last year. However, the month-on-month sales of the brand declined. In the month of June 2021, Hyundai sold 13,790 Cretas in the market.

Hyundai Venue
Hyundai recently launched the new Venue facelift with design changes and upgraded interiors. This helps the company to increase its sales in the market. The company delivered 12,000 units in July 2022 as compared to 8,185 models in the same month last year. Actually, the sale of MoM of Venue has also been increased. In June 2021, Hyundai delivered 10,321 units in the market.

Tata Punch
Tata Punch has also received an overwhelming response from car buyers. Tata Motors sold 11,007 punch SUVs in July 2022, the highest since its launch on October 18, 2021.
Maruti Brezza
Maruti Suzuki has sold 9,700 units of the new Brezza SUV in July 2022. This is around 2,300 units less than the Venue. The company had delivered 12,676 and 4,404 Brezza in July 2021 and June 2022 respectively.
