Mumbai. India’s largest digital service provider Jio (JIO) today bagged spectrum in 700MHz, 800MHz, 1800MHz, 3300MHz and 26GHz bands in an auction organized by the Department of Telecommunications. This spectrum will help make Jio the world’s most advanced 5G network and further strengthen India’s global leadership in wireless broadband connectivity. Rs 88,078 crore bid
The total cost of acquiring the right to use spectrum for a period of 20 years is Rs 88,078 crore. As per the terms of spectrum auction, spectrum payment is to be made in 20 equal annual installments, with interest calculated at 7.2% per annum.
