Learning to drive a car is one of the basic skills that a person of any social status can achieve nowadays. Sure, it takes some confidence and some rules to remember, but even a kid can push the pedal to the metal and smoke everyone on the highway. For some reason, the more money you have, the more careless a driver you become, which is why many celebrities hire private drivers to take them shopping and visiting events.
Unfortunately, some stars feel that the rules are not written for them and repeatedly break the law. Here are some of the worst celebrity drivers you don’t want to ride with.
1. Justin Bieber
Ah, remember when Bieber got into drag racing when he was high? No license, a rented Lambo, and a 19-year-old “star” who thought the world was his oyster. Luckily Bieber paid his dues and a $50,000 fine, but the incident will forever be on his shoulders. In January of last year, JP posted a comment about the whole situation, saying he was “hurt, unhappy, confused, angry, misled, misunderstood and angry at God.”
2. TMX
Earl Simmons, better known as DMX, has never been an upstanding citizen with convictions for assault, drug possession and animal cruelty on his record. So you can imagine that many “responsible driving” charges are not a big stretch. In fact, DMX was caught driving without a license so many times that people began to wonder if he even had one. Throw in multiple DUI charges and pretend to be an FBI agent, and you’ve got yourself a real-life GTA character. Sadly, DMX died of a heart attack in 2021 at the age of 50.
3. Kylie Jenner
If you think texting or taking selfies while driving is bad, you’d be 100% right. Kylie is seen doing it on several occasions, but it gets worse. The young star was involved in a car accident within two weeks of being licensed. Kylie rammed her SUV into a poor Toyota and crashed into the back of another parked car. Apart from that, Mrs. Jenneck got a couple of speeding tickets and little things like that until the day his brand new Range Rover was rear-ended at some random time. At least it wasn’t her fault, right?
4. Amanda Bynes
Two years after Amanda Bynes last worked in the 2010 comedy “Easy A,” she was arrested by police officers for drunken driving and later charged in two separate hit-and-run cases. Unfortunately Amanda spiraled even harder after that, saying things she shouldn’t say on Twitter, setting herself on fire and landing herself in a psych ward for 5 months. Shortly after getting his driver’s license back, Bynes got another DUI.
5. Paris Hilton
Paris Hilton has come a long way from being one of the most scandalous celebrities of the 2000s to being one of the most popular DJs of the last decade. But his name is on this list for a reason. In September 2006, our star had a few drinks and hit the road. Luckily the LA cops arrested her in the nick of time. Her sentence was reduced to a few months of probation. But it took a whole month for Paris to get into trouble again. This time he was jailed for violating his probation. After spending only 3 days in the slammer, Hilton was placed under house arrest instead.
If you think she’s learned her lesson, I’ll stop you right there. Since 2006, Paris Hilton has received 6 more driving violations, which isn’t bad, but isn’t surprising either.
6. Michael Rodriguez
Michelle Rodriguez seems to have mixed up her real-life identity with her badass character Letty Ortiz in the “Fast and Furious” movies. It all started in 2003, when Rodriguez was pulled over for driving with a suspended license, hit and run and, of course, DUI. The misconduct resulted in a 48-hour jail sentence and three years of probation. But wait, there’s more! In 2005, he received several speeding tickets, and in 2006 went to jail for DUI and violating his probation. He served only 4 hours without being confined for 60 days. Then in 2007, Michael broke traffic rules again while on probation, for which he served 18 days in the slammer. She likes living on the edge, probably.
7. Lindsay Lohan
Lindsay Lohan is well known for her troubles with the cops. Starting in 2007, when LiLo was pulled over for a DUI, she snapped. Shortly after, she was caught DUI while having a suspended license. For this violation, Lindsay received a full day in jail, some community service and a trip to rehab. She didn’t do her best to adhere to those norms and fell off the wagon again. After that, his trips to rehab became more frequent, and in 2012, a judge finally ended his probation for a 2007 DUI. But that didn’t stop Lindsay from hitting a man with his vehicle on two separate occasions. In 2015, Logan finally got rid of all the testing blocks, and since then, it’s been nice and quiet.
