WhatsApp has brought the option of Chatbot to inform users about the new feature.
Through Chatbot, people will be able to know about new features, tips-tricks, privacy and safety.
Currently Chatbot is on beta version, and when it will roll out on stable channel is not known.
WhatsApp keeps on offering new features for its users. Many times we do not even know when which feature is coming or has come. In such a situation, WhatsApp is now going to remove this problem. WhatsApp is testing a new chatbot, from which it will be known which new feature has been added to the app. According to WABetaInfo, which gives information about the feature of WhatsApp, the official WhatsApp chatbot is in the early stages of development.
The screenshot shared by the publication shows that the app will have a newly verified chatbot. With the help of chatbots, people will be the first to add to their conversation lists about new features, get tips and tricks, and learn about privacy and safety.
WhatsApp only verifies business accounts on its platform but you will not be able to reply to this chatbot. This will be a read-only account, so there will always be one-sided conversations.
This is because the purpose of the chatbot is to inform the users about the latest features and other details of WhatsApp and not to take feedback or complaints.
Telegram and Signal already have this facility
WhatsApp has not said anything about when it will roll it out on the stable channel. The new WhatsApp chatbot is similar to rival messaging apps Telegram and Signal, which use an official channel on their platforms to inform users about new changes and features.
If you don’t want messages from the WhatsApp chatbot, you can block the account. This feature is still in beta, so it may be visible to select users who have joined the beta program.
