New Delhi. The production of 8 core industries, which play an important role in the economic growth of the country, has registered a growth of 12.7 percent in June 2022. Due to this, there was an increase of 9.4 percent in the production of core industries in the same month last year. Earlier in May 2022, the growth of these sectors was recorded at 19.3 percent. The Ministry of Commerce and Industry gave this information on Friday.

These are the 8 core industries of the country
The country’s 8 core industries include coal, natural gas, refinery products, steel, cement, crude oil, fertilizers and power sectors. Explain that core sectors are those sectors which provide raw material or necessary resources to run other industries of the country.

Crude oil production decline
According to official data released on Friday, there was an increase of 19.3 percent in the production of 8 core industries in May 2022. The ministry said that in the month of June, production of coal, natural gas, refinery products, electricity, fertilisers, cement and steel registered an increase, while crude oil production declined.

Increase in production of 7 industries
The commerce ministry said that in June, coal production grew by 31.1 per cent year-on-year, while electricity production registered a growth of 15.5 per cent. Apart from this, production of refinery products grew by 15.1 per cent in June, while fertilizer production registered a growth of 8.2 per cent. In June, cement production grew by 19.4 per cent, while steel production grew by about 3.3 per cent. Natural gas production grew 1.2 percent in June. At the same time, the production of crude oil registered a decline of 1.7 percent on a yearly basis.
