New Delhi. Several companies on Thursday released the results of the quarter ended June of the current financial year. These companies included HDFC Limited, Zydus Wellness, Indian Oil Corporation (IOC), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries, Ashok Leyland etc.
HDFC Ltd net profit up 22.2% to Rs 3,669 crore
Home loan lender HDFC Ltd’s net profit on a standalone basis rose 22.2 per cent to Rs 3,668.92 crore in the first quarter of the current financial year (2022-23) in April-June. HDFC said in a notice to the stock market on Friday that the company’s net profit in the April-June quarter of the last financial year 2021-22 was Rs 3,001 crore.
Zydus Wellness net profit up 4.75% at Rs 137.01 crore
Health products maker Zydus Wellness’s consolidated net profit rose 4.75 per cent to Rs 137.01 crore in the first quarter ended June 30. The company’s profits have been affected due to higher expenses and one-time expenses for shutting down the plant. The company gave this information to the stock exchanges on Friday. The company had earned a consolidated net profit of Rs 130.8 crore in the same period of FY 2021-22.

Public sector Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) has incurred a net loss of Rs 1,992.53 crore in the April-June quarter of the current financial year. The company has incurred losses due to keeping the prices of petrol, diesel and LPG unchanged despite the increase in the cost of raw materials. In the information sent to the stock market on Friday, IOC said that in the first quarter of the last financial year 2021-22, the company had earned a net profit of Rs 5,941.37 crore.
Sun Pharma’s Q1 profit up 43% at Rs 2,061 crore
Pharmaceutical major Sun Pharmaceuticals Industries’ consolidated net profit grew 43 per cent to Rs 2,061 crore in the April-June quarter of FY 2022-23. The company’s profits have increased due to strong sales in all the markets. The Mumbai-based company had made a net profit of Rs 1,444 crore in the April-June quarter of FY 2021-22.
Ashok Leyland net profit of Rs 96 crore in the first quarter
Commercial vehicle maker Ashok Leyland’s net profit stood at Rs 96 crore in the April-June quarter of the current financial year. In the information sent to the stock market on Friday, the company said that in the first quarter of the last financial year 2021-22, the company had a net loss of Rs 324 crore.
