New Delhi. Several companies on Saturday released the results of the quarter ended June of the current financial year. Bank of Baroda in these companies, Oriental Hotels, Cholamandalam Investment and Finance Company, Indian Bank etc. were included.
Bank of Baroda’s profit up 79 per cent at Rs 2,168 crore
Public sector Bank of Baroda’s net profit in the first quarter of the current financial year increased by 79 percent to Rs 2,168 crore. The bank’s profit has increased due to reduction in bad loans (NPA). The bank had a net profit of Rs 1,208 crore in the same quarter a year ago.
Oriental Hotels net profit stood at Rs 11.9 crore in the first quarter
Oriental Hotels Limited, a subsidiary of The Indian Hotels Company Limited, reported the highest ever net profit of Rs 11.09 crore on a standalone basis for the quarter ended June 30. In the June quarter last year, the company had a net loss of Rs 16.83 crore on a standalone basis.
Cholamandalam posted a profit of Rs 565.66 crore in the first quarter
Cholamandalam Investment and Finance Company has reported a profit of Rs 565.66 crore on a standalone basis for the quarter ended June 30, 2022. The company had a profit of Rs 326.80 crore in the June quarter last year. At the same time, in the financial year 2021-22, the company had a profit of Rs 2,146.71 crore on a standalone basis.
Indian Bank’s first quarter profit marginally increased to Rs 1,213 crore
Public sector Indian Bank’s net profit in the April-June quarter grew by 2.7 percent to Rs 1,213.44 crore. It was Rs 1,181.66 crore in the same quarter a year ago. The bank said on Saturday that its total income grew marginally to Rs 11,758.29 crore in the June quarter of the financial year 2022-23 from Rs 11,444.27 crore in the year-ago quarter.
