Instructions to stop single use plastic in cutlery
Following the guide line will start from next month
New Delhi. Soon, single-use plastic items like plastic spoons, trays, glasses will not be seen in trains. Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation is going to ban plastic in trains. In this regard, IRCTC has issued a guide line. According to IRCTC, the guide line will start being followed from next month.
Some things plastic is used in the cutlery in trains. But soon the plastic will stop completely. The Central Environment Control Board has directed IRCTC to discontinue single-use plastic in cutlery used for catering in trains. In their place, alternative things will be used. IRCTC has started brainstorming for this. A decision on this will be taken soon. Cutlery made of wood, cardboard etc. can be used instead of plastic.

IRCTC has issued guidelines related to this to all the zones. Soon the implementation of the guide line will start. Also, instructions have been given to all the vendors providing food service.
Ban on these cutlery in trains
Plastic sticks, ice cream sticks and straws, plates, cups, glasses, spoons and trays used for serving will also not be used.
