New Delhi. Maruti Suzuki is gearing up to launch two new models – the next-gen Alto and the new Grand Vitara SUV. While the new Alto will be launched on August 18. At the same time, the new Grand Vitara will be available for sale in September 2022. Maruti Suzuki is working on several new models including a new SUV, hatchback and an electric SUV.
Next Generation Swift Testing
MSIL is producing two brand new compact SUVs including a brand new YTB SUV Coupe and Jimny Lifestyle SUV. The Swift hatchback will also be launched as a new generation model in 2023. In fact, Suzuki has even started testing the Next Gen Swift overseas. The first glimpse of this hatchback can be seen in India at the Auto Expo in January 2023.

The next generation Suzuki Swift will be built on the updated model of the HEARTECT platform. It is believed that the new model will be equipped with many premium features. It is reported that the new Swift will come with Mild Hybrid Technology. This hatchback can come with the 1.2-litre K12N dual jet petrol engine which is good for generating 89bhp power and 113Nm torque. Both manual and AMT gearboxes can be offered in this car. The model designed for the Indian market can also be launched with CNG in the market. The Sport model will come with the new 1.4L Boosterjet petrol engine.

MSIL will launch the long-wheelbase 5-door Jimny lifestyle SUV in the country in 2023. The new Suzuki Jimny LWB version is based on the 3-door Sierra lifestyle SUV, which is on sale in select international markets. The wheelbase of the SUV will be 300mm longer and the length will be increased by 300mm.
