Employees will meet each other at their native place for one week in every quarter.

New Delhi. An Indian unicorn company has allowed almost all its employees to work from anywhere, meaning permanent work-from-anywhere. The name of this unicorn company is Swiggy. According to Swiggy, the company’s corporate, central business function and technology teams will continue to work remotely. Swiggy said that employees will meet each other at their native place every quarter for a week to promote in-person bonding.
However, employees who have to work with other teams (face-to-face) will have to come to the office. The company has also said that such employees will also need to come to the office on a few days of the week.

Decision taken according to the needs of the team
Swiggy said that the decision to allow work from home permanently “has been taken based on the needs of the team and feedback from several managers and employees who have increased productivity by working from home with flexibility over the past two years. “
Girish Menon, Head of Human Resources, Swiggy, said, “Our focus was to enable employees with greater flexibility in their work lives within the framework of their job. We listened to the pulse of employees, managers and leaders, as well as watched global and local talent trends.”

ESOP program announced earlier
Last month, the food-delivery platform launched a $23 million ESOP liquidity program. “As part of the planned ESOP liquidity program in 2022, Swiggy employees will have the option to receive liquidity of up to $23 million against their ESOPs,” Unicorn said in a statement on June 30. Swiggy announced the next round of ESOP liquidity in July 2023.
